Three images are very important for me, images of demolition of Babri Mosque at Ayodhya on 6 December 1992, images of demolition of Buddhas of Bamyan on 21 March, 2001, by Taliban militia in Afghanistan and the images of crumbling WTO centre on 9/11. The common thing among all images was Islam and Muslims of which I am a follower.
Though I never saw any of these buildings, its images have great intellectual and ideological influence on human minds across the world. My conviction is that no image lasts permanently, new images will come with new ironies and new events. New images will create new imaginations and new ideas. Let us not stay, let us continue our journey beyond temporary images of human history.
